The CLL Support Association is a patient-run charity whose purpose is to provide support to CLL patients and their carers by keeping them informed of recent and relevant developments in CLL treatment and research. Members’ meetings allow all affected by CLL to spend time together and share their experiences, with opportunities provided to learn from each other and expert speakers.

Professor Andrew Pettit (Honorary Consultant Haematologist at the Royal Liverpool University Hospital; Professor of Haematology and Head of Department of Molecular and Clinical Cancer Medicine at the University of Liverpool; Chair of the National Cancer Research Institute Haematological Oncology Clinical Studies Group) has agreed to be the keynote speaker at the Liverpool meeting and he will be supported by members of his team.

The title of the talk will be: “CLL – recent progress and future challenges”

Lunch will be provided on the day and there is no charge!

Looking forward to the meeting and the reduced drive from Derbyshire (vs. my first meeting in Cardiff).

Based on my experience of the Cardiff meeting it is time well spent. Lets get a good attendance so it demonstrates having 'Northern' meetings makes sense. (I was told, by a man that lives in Edinburgh that he lives in the South! :-)
